    The Fangchenggang Nuclear Power Project in Guangxi Autonomous Region is located in Fangchenggang City, with a one-time planning and phased construction. The first phase of the project involves the construction of two million kilowatt units, jointly invested by China General Nuclear Power Corporation, China Power Investment Corporation, and Guangxi Investment Group. China General Nuclear Power Corporation is primarily responsible for the construction and operation management of the project. The first phase of the Fangchenggang project, Unit 1, was put into commercial operation on January 1, 2016, and Unit 2 was put into commercial operation on October 1, 2016. On December 24, 2015, the demonstration unit of Hualong One (HPR1000) - Fangchenggang Nuclear Power Phase II project officially started construction. Units 3 and 4 of Fangchenggang are reference power stations for the Bradwell B project in the UK. The commencement of Phase II of the Fangchenggang project will lay a key foundation for the Hualong One to enter the international market.
