Ling'ao Nuclear Power Station Phase I is the second large-scale commercial nuclear power station built in Guangdong by China General Nuclear Power Group in accordance with the policy of "using nuclear energy to support nuclear energy and rolling development" determined by the State Council, following the commissioning of Daya Bay Nuclear Power Station. Ling'ao Nuclear Power Station Phase II is the third large-scale commercial nuclear power station built in Guangdong after Daya Bay Nuclear Power Station and Ling'ao Nuclear Power Station Phase I. The project plans to construct two million kilowatt pressurized water reactor nuclear power units. Through the construction of the Ling'ao Phase II project, China will accelerate the comprehensive mastery of the second-generation improved million kilowatt nuclear power plant technology, and basically form the ability to design independently and manufacture domestically for million kilowatt nuclear power plants, laying a solid foundation for introducing, digesting, and absorbing third-generation nuclear power technology from a high starting point.
