The Yangjiang Nuclear Power Plant is located in Dongping Town, Yangdong District, Yangjiang City, Guangdong Province, on the beautiful coast of the South China Sea. It will continuously construct six million kilowatt nuclear power units, which is currently the largest and most approved nuclear power project in China. It is an important symbol of the large-scale, serialized, and standardized development of nuclear power in China. Since the main construction of Yangjiang Nuclear Power Plant started on December 16, 2008, Unit 1 was put into commercial operation on March 25, 2014; Unit 2 was put into commercial operation on June 5, 2015; Unit 3 was put into commercial operation on January 1, 2016; Unit 4 was put into commercial operation on March 15, 2017; Unit 5 was ready for commercial operation on July 12, 2018; Unit 6 has also been put into operation.
